Ceramics by Alice Lee & Frankie See and Wooden Furniture by Zawood

Ceramics are closely associated with our daily lives. From the utensils on the table and the decorative vases, to the washbasins in the bathrooms, ceramics are part of almost every household and every person's life. Originally, ceramics were classified as crafts but with the development of modern ceramic art, it became an artistic expressional form. In this exhibition ceramists Alice Lee and Frankie See hope to bring art into life, adding, on top of functionality, beauty, taste and connotation to ceramic pieces, thus making ceramic art closer to people.

Likewise, furniture is also closely related to everyday life. The home furniture pieces by Zawood, a local brand/shop dedicated to wooden products, are created based on environmental friendliness and natural simplicity. Zawood works ooze with a natural and primitive atmosphere. Apart from retaining the rustic feel of the wood, the artisans also apply traditional craftsmanship (timber-framed structures) to modern home furnishings. This exhibition is a rare occasion in Macao to enjoy ceramic art and furniture, offering visitors a special and cozy appreciative experience.
