UNCERTAINTY AESTHETICS OOC RISOGRAPH & DESIGN EXHIBITION Opening
兩位設計師由字母、數字的概念出發，通過重覆與隨機的創作方法，各自表現出作品在不確定因素下所形成的另一種美學，是對現代社會力求盡善盡美，準確無誤現象下的一種吶喊。亦是作者對自身職業角色的部份偏執。除了部分作品加入了人為的不確定性，全部作品均透過孔版油印(Risograph printing)這種印刷技術來進行創作，反思這種種不確定參數所引致的結果，究竟是一種不可接受的意外、錯誤，還是賦予作品獨一無二生命力的驚喜與期待。 With letter-and-number-based work produced in a creative approach stressing repetition and random composition, each of the two designers expresses a different type of aesthetic influenced by factors of uncertainty. Their work is in defiance of a modern society demanding perfection and accuracy, while also reflecting the authors’ certain paranoia about their professional role. Through all the works created with Risograph printing technique – some of them with deliberately added uncertainties – the designers attempt to prompt reflections on whether these outcomes generated by uncertainties are accidental results unacceptable, or errors. Or, on the contrary, they have surprisingly injected unique vitality into the works.
